Magic Carpet at the Seattle Yacht Club
Magic Carpet at the Seattle Yacht Club

Firstly, let me say, never blog when you have had 2 shots of Cognac, especially if you, like me don't drink often.

Got up this mid-morning for a light breakfast, vacuumed the boat, showered, and a hike to the to the hardware and grocery store and gravel pit. The boat was very dirty as evidenced by the completely full canister on the Dyson.

The shower was good. The pressure was powerful... the best on the island per the care taker of the Outstation. Yeah, powerful enough to remove dead skin cell, leaave your skin squeak clean and no soap needed! The shower shares the same facility as the laundry room. The picture above was taken from the front door of the shower and laundry facility.

Luna escaped from the boat this morning after breakfast. She made it up to the lawn the caretaker had just mowed and was in the process of watering the plants when Dusty and Luna arrived. She heard us calling for them so she aimed the hose at Luna and sent her scurrying back to the boat.

We, Stever and I, had a nice walk of about 3 miles but never did find the gravel pit. No loss, we wandered through some well established residential area, found a couple of abandoned sail boat that was growing a crop of lichen and an abandoned fishing vessel seriously deteriorated. The dogs enjoyed the walk and were eager to get back to their boat for a long cool drink of water.

Ed and Lynne worked on getting power to the fly bridge for the satellite dish. After a dinner of burger/impossible burger, Ed and Jim returned to the fly bridge to straighten out the kinked hose for the ice maker.

Tomorrow we go to Deer Harbor.

Also, you should now get a notification that the blog has posted.
