We arrived back to Prince Rupert after a fairly uneventful day of motoring from Wrangell Alaska to Prince Rupert Canada.

Leaving Ketchikan
Unlike the Customs at the Van Isle Marina, the dock at Cow Bay Marina was not clearly marked. The kind folks at Cow Bay Marina directed us where to moor our boat for customs. As we approached the dock to get our clearance to enter Canada we noticed some customs officers on the dock at another boat. Ed asked if they could grant us clearance and they directed us to call and if they office felt an inspection was needed they would return.
One of the Customs Officer, pleasant young man, chatted with me while Ed made the required call to the Canadian Customs office. We talked about the boat and he peppered thenconversation with questions such as: what we were doing: where we had been any weapons and or cannibis/drugs on board. We talked about getting the boat to Port Orchard via Victora BC from Florida, Ed hiking in Nepal, Antartica, Australia, the placing of the boat on land for servicing the pods and painting new antifouling paint on the bottom before we departed to come on this adventure.

PRRYC welcomed us back with the caveat that we may have to move the boat if we stay longer than 3 days. While Ed and the crew worked on getting the boat put to bed and the registration of the boat at the Club, Stever and I took the girls out for a walk.

I then headed back up to shore to check out the hours of operation of the Opa Sushi Bar.
The food was plentiful as it was tasty. The Sake bomb exploded on to my clothing, I think I still smell like japanese beer and sake!

Yesterday, Ed went to the hardware store to see if he could buy a new pump for our shower sump as the old one was not working correctly. Sadly, no pump to be found in any of the major hardware stores or marne chandlery. We discussed putting check valves in line as a fix to the failing pump. During this evolution we discovered that the owners head sink drained to a common sump shared with the VIP/Day head when Vick pointed out that the VIP head shower was not draining. The switch to turn off the pump in our shower sump also turned off the sump pump in the VIP head.
The following day Ed found the well stocked, large, hardware store under Walmart and after making two trips to pick up parts, he was able to "fix" the sump pump. Yay! While he was walking to and from the hardware store, contorting himself into the space to install the fixed sump pump, I walked the dogs several time and got my 10k+ steps.
We had dinner at the Breakers Pub. The poor wait person, she had to contend with disgruntled guest because the kitchen was very slow in getting our meals out and the meals 3/5 stars.

Tonight we had sumptuious meal of a charcuterie appetizer and a chicked breast creation by with salad by Kari.
As the weather would have it, we will be staying and additional night. The PRRYC manager will make room for us. We will be on the outside of the breakwater float tomorrow.
Tomorrow, the day we had planned on heading back toward the Broughton Islands on the south side of Cape Caution, the weather is forcasting 20+ mph winds with gust to 50. We will remain tied to the pier in Prince Rupert and hope to not have a parting of ways with the dock.
