Still learning...

Today was all about learning.

We attended the Spring Meeting of the IPBA. We had a few questions and while some answers were provided, one of the Club members will set some time aside for teaching us how to prepare the predictions and how to document the actual times. More questions to get answered

We also took the Starlink to Magic Carpet to get it turned on which turned out to be a steep learning curve, still learning. Also, how to route the wires so we can use the Starlink underway. This will be critical for reporting our results and also for sending data in for my LOOP monitor..

I took some time to plot a track on the Garmin. It was a different learning experience and there is still more to learn. Thank goodness for You Tube.

Ed and I spoke with one of our crew, his uncle, who will be coming out from CT for the journey and his wife, who will finally retire will join us in Ketchikan Alaska for the leg to Wrangel, Alaska and back to Ketchikan. We also learned another of our crew, a fellow Yacht Club member, may have to bow out, we still hold out hope that he will be able to make the trip.
