The remaining members of the flotilla had dinner at the Alaska King Crab Company.
The food in a word Pricey! My Halibut and chips was well done if not lacking in flavor but all in all, much better than my experience at the Bush Pilot's Bar Restaurant.
While the music was exceedingly loud, the establishment adjusted the volume when asked. What good is it to have the music so loud the wait person has a hard time understanding what your are saying.
After dinner we headed back to the boat. Stever took the dogs for a walk as my back was once again, incapacitating me. Maybe I over did it yesterday. Yesterday I had a10k+ step day, today getting 7400 was a challenged.
Tomorrow we will head to Thorn Bay and do leg 6 of the IPBA Predicted Log race. Staturday we will be in Meyers Chuk to pick up fresh homemade cinnamon rolls and cookies.
The golden hour painting these buildings with the light of the setting sun. The final Ketchikan dinner at the Alaska King Crab Company. The sun setting behind the City of Ketchikan.
I just re-read my blog post and it seems like it is a litany of complaints. Actually my day was pretty low key. I stayed on board the boat, cut my hair and beard. I did two loads of laundry, The small Splendid Washer Dryer is not very efficient and fast but it is better than schlepping your clothes to the nearest laundry room.
The rest of the crew headed out to do their thing. Dusty grumbled at all the folks walking on the jetty and on the pier. Luna wanted to cuddle, she can be very insistent!
We all met back at the boat and walked to AKC Co. for dinner.
Bed before midnight... yay!
See you tomorrow.
