Good day to you. After a few restful days at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, we departed to Ovens Island.

While in Vancouver we took in the Pink Floyd 50 year anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon show at the planetarium. We Ubered to the planetarium at the H. R. MacMillan Space Center. The show was well attended. The music was great, as one would expect from Pink Floyd. The show was technically beautiful. I recommend it. Unfortunately, we weren't in town long enough to see the show with lasers, starting today. It is suppposed to be stunning.

The crew took time to stretch their legs, see the town and sample the local fare. By all reports it was a great experinece. I enjoyed the solituded and time with my dogs on the boat.

Yesterday we motored to Ovens Island Outstation. Ovens is an Island that had been purchased by a Past Commodore of the Seattle Yacht Club. He gifted the property to the Seattle Yacht Club who named it in his honor. There are no services on the island, meaning, no water, no electricity, no on shore laundry or restroom, nothing, nad, zip. But, it is a quick dinghy ride to Ladysmith Harbour and the bakeries, butchery, take out food and groceries. So dinner tonight was Chinese take-out. yum. Ed and Stever made the trip to Ladysmith to pick up the grub. He fortunately did not have to take a second mud bath today. He remained on the dinghy while Ed hoofed it to the restaruant to pick up our take out dinner. Poor Stever, when he and Ed had gone into town earlier, got a mud spa, quite unexpectedly when the hand hold on one of the tubes on the inflatable let go. Ed had it fixed and the boat was ready for another excursion before dinner time.

Sometime after lunch today, we were surprised by our friends, Lynne and Joanne, from the Seattle Yacht Club. Joanne is Past Commodore of the Tyee Yacht Club in the same class as Ed, who is Past Commodore of the Port Orchard Yacht Club. It was nice to have a visit with them.

Checked water to see how well we did in water conservation, alas, the sensor is stuck at 100%... will have to address that again some time soon, but not to day. We will definetly top off in Ganges tomorrow. Tomorrow promises to be an exciting day of motoring. We are expecting building winds early. Currents will be with us and the seas will be flat, relatively speaking. I'll let you know how about it tomorrow.
